MANASSEH AND EPHRAIM; FORGET THE PAST AND BE FRUITFUL

Young man, there are certain stuff in your life that must be forgotten to lay hold on the great future ahead of you. Deliberately, God asked you to forget the past and see what is ahead. The past may be rough dude, it is past already. The past may be fine too, it is history. Holding on to the past especially the hurting ones will limit your vision of the good and great things ahead. God is deliberate with every inch of instructions given to you. So, you must be deliberate in letting go of the past too.  A little allegory of this was displayed in Joseph Jacob's life. He had a terrible past. His brother tormented him and sold him as slave. He suffered and ended in jail for a crime he didn't commit. It was time for God to bless him and raise him to his desire, he had to let go and forget the travail of his father's house. Manasseh of Joseph was a deliberate name given to indicate that Joseph has forgotten all the travail of his brothers and his past by the help of the lord.  The meaning of Manasseh is forget. It was then he gave birth to Ephraim which means Fruitfulness. He couldn't be fruitful if he never forget the past. Do you know that when Jacob came to bless them, Joseph still made a mistake by wanting to bless his first born above his fruitfulness. The father rejected the idea and did the right thing again. He wanted the past to be stronger, the father changed his hands and blessed the fruitfulness above the past. You need to learn and know that you have to forget the past to be fruitful in the present and future. Forget the former things and see the new things God is doing. Forget the failure, its past. Seek new challenge ahead with a renewed hope that God promised a brighter future. Seek the new ground with great hope that new things are going to be done. Glorious things that will erase the records of the horrible past. Forget the past, be fruitful  forthwith.
