SACRIFICE

Sacrifice means the surrender or destruction of something prized or desirable for the sake of something considered as having a higher or more pressing claim. Young man, you cannot run away from this reality in your life if you will go far and fulfil the desire of God for you. You must learn to sacrifice something now so they won't sacrifice you tomorrow. There are things of value needed to be placed on the altar of sacrifice now so you can get higher reward in the nearest future. One big thing that separates men who have made mark in their generation is the length at which they can sacrifice temporary enjoyment for valuable impact. How they can sacrifice their time of fun for training and learning and for God's business. The reality is that you must pay the Price to get the Prize. The price is the sacrifice. If you want to follow the lord Jesus Christ and fulfil your mandate here on earth while having eternity in view, you must learn Jesus' culture: the culture of sacrifice. The lord Jesus asked us to sacrifice all other things and seek righteousness as first on priority basis. Yes, all other thing are thing that can be sacrificed to seek his righteousness. Sacrifice temporary satisfaction of sin and pleasure of self for a greater call of purpose fulfilment. Even in giving to God's business, you need to know how to sacrifice your little. Don't hold tightly to what you have and reject the abundance you have in God. What ever you are becoming is traceable to whatever you can sacrifice now, young man. Gehazi failed to sacrifice his love for material things and he lost the double portion of grace on Elisha. He failed to let go of sudden ministerial enjoyment and luxury. He was a young man with huge potential to do exploit in four times of Elijah. But what he failed to sacrifice sacrificed him and his generation on the altar of leprosy. It was sad that Elisha went into the grave with his anointing. The young man that should take over was never ready to pay the price. Whatever you are becoming, please note that you must imbibe the culture of Christ. You may need to sacrifice some friends now, you may need to sacrifice some money to buy spiritual books or academic books or some softwares that are key to your goal and vision in life. Do it. You won't die. It may look like it will be tough to let go of one or two things to accomplish greater thing, yes. It will most of the time. That is why it is called sacrifice. But in the end, you will rejoice you did. Jesus sacrificed himself. He laid down his life for us to be connected back to God. He was sacrificed on the cross but he rose to eternal power over all. When you sacrifice one, you allow another choice. Sacrifice your chat and film times for an improved time in your secrete place where you can study God's word, pray and get guidance over your life.  Sacrifice the wrong friends for good alliance. Sacrifice the temporary enjoyment for fulfilment of purpose just like Joseph did. It will COST you. But it will improve your COST because your VALUE will go higher. Sacrifice your food to get strengthened in the inner man.  Young man, you need to sit up and count the cost. Then, you will be able to give what it takes to become what God has designed for you. Whatever you cannot sacrifice now will become your LIMIT. As you journey on in your making process, know that sacrifice is your watchword. Sacrificial living will take you out of your comfort zone because you cannot become anything tangible at that zone.
