IN DESERT BUT NOT DESERTED

There are issues that may be difficult to explain to you young man. One of it is someone telling you God is with you in the midst of crisis. How can someone tell you that God is there when you are facing loss in your business? You have been jobless for years and things have been extremely tight and yet someone claims that God never forsake you. How can your child died and you are very sickly and God is still there? what are you saying man? Stop it there and don't ever tell me such sad stories again. God has never been there for me and all may be your conclusion young man. Should I tell you that he knows all you are going through and nothing is hidden from him. I know you are in the desert but I can confidently tell you that God has never deserted you. You are in desert but not deserted. Desert is a place of emptiness and nothing seems to be alive in such places. Your conditions may be likened to it. Yes. But do you know that God is with you. He has promised never to leave nor forsake you. If you are in fire, it won't consume you. If you are in water that is so turbulent, it won't carry  you away. Remember the Hebrew boys in Babylon? They were thrown into the furnace of affliction and someone could doubt that God will ever be present. But he was there in their trouble and turbulent situation. Nothing happened to them cos God was present in the fire with them. It is easy to doubt because of the heat and flames. But he is not a man that will lie. He will always fulfil his words and none of it will go unfulfilled. He will fulfill all. So is your case. He won't cage his word for you. No, he won't let you down as his word will come handy always. You are not deserted. He promised to make a way in the wilderness and water in the desert. Water will come. It may not be the rain you that are expecting but be sure that he will make water come. Refreshing moment won't elude you. He will fulfill his words. The children of Israel were in the desert but they were not deserted. Even though the plan was for them to be there for forty days, they elongated it for forty years. Young man, you need to be careful that you don't elongate your days in the desert to years. They grumbled and crumbled. They went back to Egypt in their heart. They let God down by violating his laws and elongated their days in such moment of dessert. Yet, God never left them. He never forsook them. He was available to their cry. They were in desert but nor deserted. They had plagues, he came to rescue them. They were in draught and serious lack, he came as Jireh. He provided for their needs. You need to know this young man that you are not deserted. Joseph was deep in desert, yet God was always with him. Jesus also was in the desert and he became tired but God sent his angel to minister to him cos he was always there. If there is anything you need to hold on to that should never leave you, if there is anything that must be written boldly in your heart, then it is that even though you are in the desert, YOU ARE NOT DESERTED. This assurance will make your journey easy and you will rest in the entire process of making.
