VIRGINITY IS NOT ENOUGH

There are two scenarios of virginity benchmarks in the scripture that has lessons for what you are becoming young man. They are loaded with pointers that emphasized the fact that virginity is never enough. It is important to be virgins and that connotes undefiled testament. It implies separation from corruption and all. By that, separation is not enough. No, you have to do more. The other parameters from these two occurrences are what you must imbibe in yourself to really help you shape what you are becoming better. The rise of Esther in place of Vasti is one lazed with lessons. The queen fumbled and ignore the instructions of the king. Verdict was given to replace her. Criteria for finding suitable replacement included *virginity*, beauty and all. However, you cannot meet the basic line if you are not a virgin even if you have the most beautiful face on earth. What the king will taste must not be defiled. The royal crown can never be ridiculed. That's first lesson for you young man. You can never be anything useful in God's hand if you are not separated from sin and worldliness. You can't become his design for you living a carefree and careless life. You must at least meet that requirement. Several young ladies made it to the list. They were taken to the palace for beautification and upgrade. Learning of the palace acts and manners. They were to receive training and be ready for selection. Only one of them will get the position of the queen. That is where you see the separation of the excellent from the average. Separation of the best from the better. Then, your virginity is no longer a requisite. You virginity is no longer of huge value. Now, VALUE speaks, sacrifice talks. Now, obedience to instructions take preeminence. Now, denial of pleasure becomes central. While several maidens were glutinous and living carelessly during their training period, Esther maintained the values, sacrifice, prayer lifestyle, and denial of self gratifications. She maintained her stand against lust. When she was chosen, the other virgins learnt that virginity was never enough to earn them a place as queen. Learn from her, young man. Dedication, sacrifice, value, delay gratification of self pleasure and obedience to the Holy Spirit instructions enveloped in the scriptures are essential to keep you fit for your queenly role. The other scenario is that of ten virgins spoken as parables by Jesus. They qualified as bride for the groom because they were virgins. But you see, virginity was never going to be enough. Learning to do what is necessary and needed for your journey is extremely important. Putting extra efforts on your virgin status is paramount. Deliberate actions, deliberate working out your salvation with trembling and fear is important. Deliberate feeding on God's word yourself is important. Yes, you are born again and you are now living God's life. You have the life of God, but you must eat to grow if not you may die. You must drink water of life continuously, if not dehydration may kill you. You must take all the nutrient needed for your spiritual growth to finish well so the door won't be locked against you and you be regarded and rated as fools. They may now ask why you were a virgin in the first place. Its like a virgin lady/guy getting married and saying  virginity will be enough to keep his/her home. No way. You must work. You must watch and pray. You need devotion, dedication and all that you can give to really end well. There are cloud of witnesses that also went through this phase chaste and virgins, but they will tell you, it takes more than being a virgin.
