COMPASS FOR YOUR JOURNEY

Young man, I hope you know that once your direction is clear in life, every additional mile on it will bring you to the desired end. It is dangerous to be jack of all trades which may end you as master of none. Mind you, I am not saying you should not use your multiple gifts and graces. But you must essentially know your major strength and know that which cheers God and man. If you know what you want earlier, you can put all your energy in it to get there in time. However, if you waste your effort in living your life by  a try and error scheme, you may fail to fulfill your God's given purpose till you are aged. Remember that Joshua was told at his old age that he failed to take over several lands which were part of his assignment. Don't live your life without a compass of direction for your journey. You desire to be an academic professor, don't waste severe years in banking industry. You want to be a banker, be careful you are not speeding to a professor chair while looking at the bank with huge desire. Your desire is music right? Why wasting time in football? You could end up in any profession accidentally cos of the environment you have found yourself or  you are doing it survival. Watch it that you don't live your life in regret later on. I have met older people living the end of their lives with huge regrets because they feel unfulfilled. Young man, do you know why? They never got the right direction for their lives at a younger age. Watch it that you have a clear living compass. This will help you not to chase shadow even if its dressed in royalty . There were certain trees in the scriptures. They understood their purposes so much that the royal throne among the trees does not excite them. The trees claimed that they have fruits and wines that cheers GOD and MAN. Why will they take a position of royalty that brings regret when they are done with their lives? Why will they leave their purposes which was clearly defined to hold sway over trees? Even the royal throne may be a misfit position if you miss your compass. On a daily basis, be clear that God is giving you direction through his Holy Spirit in you.

The circle of people around you has a huge influence on who you are becoming. Remember, we have discussed that you are becoming what you will become.  No one became anything suddenly. It's a process. While you are becoming what you will become, you need to know that the friends you keep will have a large influence on you. Let me tell you the bitter truth. You cannot be friends with everyone. An attempt to try it will be the beginning of you becoming a deformed you. It is foolishness to want everyone in your camp and be in the "good" book of everyone. You must learn to select your friends. Even if they select you, you must also check your parameters of judgment to bring such people close.
