CHOOSE THE RIGHT MENTOR(S)

Young man, you will have a lot of decisions to make in life. These decisions will either make or mar you. You will feel as most youth does, that you can take them by yourself. Well, it will get to certain time in your life that you will be expected to do so though. But you see, growing up, don't take decisions without consulting your mentor. Your mentor is some one who is ahead of you and knows the terrain you are traveling in. They may be more than one in your life but if God help you to have SEVERAL-IN-ONE kind of a mentor, you will be glad. If not, chose them in various aspect of life under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You will need their counsels. You will need their shoulders. You will need their comforts. You will need their encouragement. You will need their experience. You will need their truth (where they failed or succeeded without hiding anything). Your path may not exactly be like theirs but they definitely have done some similar things. Who your mentors are can also help us understand what you are BECOMING. If you have a man or woman who loves the lord, serve him, have a beautiful home and is excellent on your career path, you have several-in-one kind of a mentor. You will learn God, you will learn family growth in God's way and you will learn how to excel more in your career. Such men are devoid of envy for you. They are men who celebrates every of your wins. They rejoice at your breaking forth. Young man, I have been privileged to have several-in-one kind of a mentor. I have other mentors in other areas whom God has permitted me to pick lessons from. But I have one who has become a Father. All the packages I discussed earlier is found in him and his wife. A guide,  support system,  teacher, tutor and leader whose life is admirable as individual, as a family man and a career giant. Young man, you need such mentor. They won't counsel you against God. They won't counsel you to rush. They will be there to support you in all your making process. You need to pray for such. Mind you, young man, your  parents, your pastor or whosoever have not been underestimated. However, you need such guide and cover to become who you are becoming. You will go fast and far in purpose fulfilment and you will finish strong. Moses was a great mentor to Joshua and Elisha had an excellent one in Elijah. Don't run this phase of your life alone. The reality is that you may go fast if you do it alone, but you may not go far. Your goal is to go far and fulfil purpose.
