BEWARE OF PRAISE SINGERS

One thing you should be wary of as a young man is the praise singers. It is not bad to receive praise from people for doing something right or excellently. However, you need to take caution concerning the kind of praise they give and you must position your heart not to allow it enter your head. Every breakthroughs and victories are indeed worth celebrating but you must do it moderately and with all degree of humility. Once you overshoot your celebration which is driven by praise singers, you may be creating enemies or getting a bigger battle to deal with.  Its not bad that your mentors, families and friends celebrate your successes and victories amidst tedious battles, but young man, you must be particular about your heart. It must not enter your head. You are not there yet. There is still a long journey ahead. So, caution.  Waoh, so the celebration is all about me? Waoh, I made it to the top at last! Waoh, I can now bask in the glory of this success and "like play like play" pride comes in. Everyone else look like they have achieved nothing. Oh, they now seems to be beneath you. Everyone else seems to be doing nothing to move forward just because you have received the praise of men. Seriously, you may be on your way to a deep regret and lonely path in your life. These praise singers are thrilled by what you have accomplished and its not bad they want you to feel the joy of making it or breaking forth. But it is you I am particular about. Hope those comments won't enter your head? Hope those accolade won't barricade your next flights? Hope you know you are not there yet? Praise singers may not even know you well enough. Praise singers may of tomorrow become your arch enemies. Praise singers may do so cos of the spoils of the battle conquered. Praise singers may need you at present  but wait for it, they may never remember your role in their life again. Young man, don't allow their praise cover your sight and raise your emotion beyond the reality. You are a work in progress. Celebrate every achievement, rejoice over every victory but never allow them to be a stumbling block for a higher call. There is something higher you are called for. David Jesse returned victorious against Goliath. The praise singers forgot all the achievement of the older generation especially King Saul and accrued a higher glory to David as against the King. The scenario may be right because the king was missing in that one battle but he had done his part in the past. So, bringing David to that thick battle of comparison was never needed. David was praised above his master. David was in the lips of all and it seems the older generals were not that effective. David realized the danger of those songs. He stayed humbled to serve in the palace. The praises didn't enter his head. Even with that, he was hunted severally. The king knew the kingdom will belong to him but David remained humbled, focused and in the service of the king. Don't allow praise singers to make you pitch your tent against your bosses and those ahead of you. Oh, you are now making it well than them, never allow praise singer raise your ego to destroy you thinking the older generations were entirely useless. Its a big path for destruction and you don't want to go there. Beware of praise singers. Had it been that David allowed the praise singers confused him, he may have been killed earlier before becoming what God really designed him for. How do you then handle men's praise and ovations? Stay humble, focused and acknowledge those shoulders you rode on to be where you are and ultimately, SEE YOURSELF IN GOD'S WORD daily. You can never receive anything except you were give. So, when they praise you, RETURN THE PRAISE TO GOD. When they honor you, make it a platform to EXTOL GOD.
