REJECTION

Rejections come with hurt, pain, and sometimes tears. But wait for a second, do you know that even Jesus was rejected in the course of his earthly ministry? The stone the builder rejected has become the chief cornerstone. He was rejected by his brethren and countrymen. How and why will you think that you will escape rejection? Well, maybe because I am in academia and I am used to rejection letters. Brilliant ideas have been rejected one way or the other. Landmark breakthroughs have been rejected one way or the other. I have become used to rejection because everyone will never accept you or your ideas. You need to understand this and not seek acceptance all the time. However, we must learn why rejection has come! Rejections can help you to package yourself and your ideas better. You may be rejected because the idea is not well presented, you may be rejected because your idea is even better and the others are threatened. You may be rejected because you are not ready yet. Don't be too hard on yourself man. You may be rejected as a brother asking a sister out. That's not the end of life. Rejections should help you strengthen what you have and who you are. Mend your weaknesses, and end the mistakes that brought rejection. If people rejected you for no reason what can happen to you? Don't fret. They will look for you later on. Meanwhile, your background, race, faith, and even looks can cause you to be rejected. They are not tangible reasons to fear. Jephthah was rejected by his kindred for he was born of a prostitute. Yes, he was born through a wrong alliance but his birth was not a mistake. He strengthened himself and became a beautiful and fantastic warrior. The kindred that rejected him later lookout for him to be their leader. He never allows their rejection to make him a waste. No. he press further, sought God, and developed his military skills. He became their leader. Just make sure you learn from rejection and move on.
