WHEN GOD IS SILENT

It is unusual not to wonder where God is when you are going through rough areas in your making process. Where is God may be one big question you will ask. People around you will also ask where is your God. You may be tempted to think he is not interested in your case again. You may be tempted to think God doesn't exist. In fact, you may say all you have heard of him in his word, church and amid wonderful brethren are camouflage. Well, the truth is that when God is silent, he is busy working on your case. Putting the dots on the  i's and crossing the t's. He is making sure all things are in place for your lasting fulfilment. He is making sure no ridicule will come to you again. But for you, all you can see is that he is not in action. He is quite. You seems not to hear his voice. You have prayed and prayed and it seems he has forsaken you. No, he has not. When he is silent, he is actively working. What is your present circumstances that made you think God is not working? Oh, your friends are enjoying life? Humm, they are building houses and social media is magnifying their progresses? The society is celebrating them? In fact, a young boy of 21years beside you has built his own house and have cars without anyone knowing his source of income? And you don't belong? At your age, you are still struggling. You dare not speak to a sister or think of marriage cos it will be yam pepper scatter scatter? It is imperative I tell you this, that the rate at which the younger generations is going in search of quick fame and money is extremely dangerous for our society. You need to know that God beautify everything in his *own* time. When you think he is quite and silent, he is greatly at work for and in you. Where was God when Joseph was bounded, thrown into pit and sold to Egypt? Where was God when he became a slave, wrongly accused and thrown into prison? Well, he was working out the higher picture. Did you ever read that he spoke to him? Of course He was WITH him. Did you ever read where the bible says and God called and comforted Jo? But he was ever present with him even if he was silent. He was working. Learn to trust God when it seems he is silent. Be assured of the fact that once you are in continuous relationship with him, his covenant is sure. He says he won't leave you nor forsake you. Joseph later reported that he saw God all along working. He said when they threw him away from his home, it was not his brothers but God who was at work. Don't you think Joseph must have shouted to God of his father to save him at that point? But he was SILENT. Yet he was the one at work. When God is silent on your case, be sure again and again that you can REST in him cos he is working out something good for you. Your end will bear great testimonies. Jesus felt the father had forsaken him on Calvary. Yet, God was there with him even though he was SILENT. He was working wonder. So, what have you prayed and prayed on that seems to tarry? What have you cried and cried on that seems not coming? You could even have been comforted if you have heard a voice so clear! Or a scripture so bold on your heart! Or a prophesy so divine! But they are not there. Be calm. When he is silent, he is working. And at the end of his work, he always produce GOODNESS.

The circle of people around you has a huge influence on who you are becoming. Remember, we have discussed that you are becoming what you will become.  No one became anything suddenly. It's a process. While you are becoming what you will become, you need to know that the friends you keep will have a large influence on you. Let me tell you the bitter truth. You cannot be friends with everyone. An attempt to try it will be the beginning of you becoming a deformed you. It is foolishness to want everyone in your camp and be in the "good" book of everyone. TRUST GOD EVEN IF IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE

Young man, I am glad to pen some issues on your current challenges to you today. You may be currently in the worst state you could ever be. Let me tell you not to shift your attention away from God. Stay with him. Learn to trust God in all you do. Hold firmly to the truth of his word that he never fails. Even when it does not make sense, trust him harder.
